Made an overseas call to SK last night to say happy birthday. He's 30 already! Time flies man! It's been 8 years since we know each other. Glad to know he's alright despite the fact that there was little news (or rather, no news) from him for a while. He said he'll be back for Christmas.

Called up the HR ladies at SIA the other day. She said I'm meeting SVP HR on Tuesday! Alamak, where got people meet HR big boss for first interview one?!?! Where are the HR executives and managers? A little stressed... Anyway, the friendly HR lady said we'll discuss "job fit" during the first interview, and this will be followed by written tests on another day and finally a "chit chat" with my potential boss... Shu said this is different from the format for Gen AO position and she guessed that they may consider me for Spec hire instead... whatever it is, I must do my best! Told SK abt my plan and he's really supportive... :)

Work is still piling up like mountain but there's alot to look forward to in the month of Dec:
3 Dec - High tea with Shu and Luwei
15 Dec - payout of 13th mth and AVC and special bonus (hopefully there is!)
16-19 Dec - Off to KL with Carrie, Gabby, Baby and Mr Sim!!!
20-23 Dec - Clear leave
25 Dec - Christmas!
26 Dec - Off-in-lieu for Christmas
27-28 Dec - On course with KW, Gabby and Mr Sim + S43 class chalet at Sentosa!

On top of that I'll be clearing another day of off-in-lieu (for going dept retreat on a Sat) in Dec! Anyone on for shopping/la-teh-ing/other activities? Let me know!!!

Went to the dentist yesterday... apart from filling up a chipped tooth, he said that one of my wisdom teeth is growing... Hope I am getting wiser too!

Back to office tomorrow after Ad Asia... finally cleared most of my backlog from the previous weeks... feeling happier...

Schedule will be quite packed for next few days:
Thu - Prepare for the test for my module on Friday
Fri - Go shopping and dinner with Luwei
Sat - Dept Retreat at Swissotel Merchant Court
Sun - Choir gang outing!

Still gotta squeeze in some time to finish up the essays for the CX application form and to prepare for the interview next week! Busy busy!! :P

Surprise! Somebody actually message me via Friendster saying that he wanna engage me to do some freelance translation work for his website... Supposed to translate an English website to a HK Chinese version.. not sure if I am taking up yet... must find out more about the timeline and of course, the pay... Well, no harm finding out more... would be good chance to start moonlighting!

I can't believe I'm this lucky.. sent my resume to SQ for the generalist position last night and they got back to me about an interview next week before 2pm today.. and Shu told me that base on her insider info HR would take like 3 months before they get back to me..

Hope this luck continues... *fingers crossed toes crossed*

We were having our annual QEHS audit today, and my boss scolded (or rather, screamed) one of the colleagues in my team in front of everyone for not signing a document which requires module chair's signature. And guess what? She didn't sign it herself either. And the best part came when she tried to push the blame on me (I'm her co-module chair for the module) and kena backfired.

Whahahahahahaha...... *evil laughter*

In any case, felt sorry for the colleague who kena scolded. Apparently my boss told her boss that my colleague "never do anything". Ok, agree that he's not the very "zai" kind and is rather disorganized, but it's quite unfair to say that he never does anything. In fact, we were all working like mad for the recent event and she was the one who was MIA-ing! My colleague later told me that he may want to request to be transferred to another team. Sigh...

Heard from reliable source that the reason why my direct boss is pushing all her work to me is that she's taking up an external consultancy project with 5-digit pay. If I were her, I'd probably take up the job as well. But does it mean that she has the right to push her work to me! Not doing what she's supposed to do and getting extra pay? Nonsense!

Fed up. End up went to colour my hair with Shu after work.

Bad news? Good news?

Shu finally checked for me - SQ is not gonna hire TSM in the next few months.

So looks like there will be some change in plan. I'll probably be applying for SQ's AO position first. With that, I can take up an executive position first and hopefully transfer to be a station manager when there is opportunity.

If it's not meant to be, it'll just not happen.

Plus, am I really ready to drop everything in Singapore to leave?

Maybe this is a piece of good news.

Been quite a happy week... Did most of the things I wanted to do over the Deepavali-Hari Raya break and during weekend...

  • Had dinner with my family to celebrate dad's bday
  • Came up with resume version 3.0
  • Completed 2 out of 3 essays for the CX application form (the 3rd one is in Chinese... argh... when was the last time I wrote a Chinese essay? Sec 4?)
  • Went to airport, drank coffe and read all the articles I wanted to read from Air Transport World magazine (courtesy of RP library)
  • Had dinner with Daisy, Trish, Wen and Ronald
  • Went chiong at dbl O with Trish, Wen, Alvin and Shu
  • Did some catching up with CC, Es and John online (CC is coming back from Perth end of the month!)
  • Went for my step class
  • Slacked and slacked and slacked

Happy Birthday Greenie! :)

Thanks 秋 for her encouragement on her blog!

Honestly speaking I'm NOT confident about this at all... met up with some JC friends yesterday and got to know that one of the girls actually applied for the SQ trainee station manager position but couldn't get through the final round... and, in my opinion, she's quite a zai3 person... looks like it's really not gonna be easy...

P.S.: 谢谢 Spinky too!
