Look Who's Busy at Work

One of those things we do in CIE office on a boring Friday...
Btw introducing my office companion Tigger (courtesy of Carrie who bought it for me during one of those nights we stayed back really late), who has been badly abused by Vic, Gabby and Choon (though I've taken revenge on Choon's giraffe soft toy by hanging it with RP lanyard on his bookshelf) and mistaken by Uncle and several others as Pooh bear...
Was watching Chi Zhi Lu Hou with my dad and he said that we would be there (in Taiwan) now if we had not come to Singapore... wonder what I would be like now if I had spent the last 14 years in Taiwan instead... I wouldn't have met the friends I got to know here... have to do Chinese literature in school... and probably had become one of those "teh" taiwanese girls... so unlike me.... gosh....
Gosh... this is quite true too...
Who's Your Type? (
http://quizbox.com/personality/test34.aspx)
The one you find attractive has the nature of a leader, and he/she can be rather self-centered.
(Therefore the misery in the past... sigh...)
The "Get to Know Yourself Better" Quizhttp://quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspxThe questions look pretty normal but the result is quite accurate! Here's mine...
Your view on yourself:
You are intelligent, honest and sweet (sweet? haha...). You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.
The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.
Your views on education:
Education is very important in life (duh.. why do you think I'm in the education line?). You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
How do you view success:
You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.
What are you most afraid of:
You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.
Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.
Saw VJ Utt at Crystal Jade Plaza Sing today!!! He's darn cute can?!
Was there for dinner with the VJChoir gang.. crazy and siao as usual.. kind of perk things up in the middle of the week...
Went shopping for Scuba gear with the Pulau Aur trip dive kakis last Sunday.. now I have added motivation to dive more since the investment had been made.. too many places that I need to go but too little money.. sigh... possibly going Tioman for Advance Open Water with Ken and Shu in mid Sept then going for another trip to Redang end of Sept with my colleagues.. probably will break til next March when the monsoon is over.. if not it's gonna be a little heavy in terms of time and money commitment.. then again the thing about scuba diving is that you have to dive all you want before you get married and settle down with kids... which means that I better dive more within the next few years...
Talking about getting married and all... the number of single men in my department is amazing.. There are 13 guys in the department, out of which 5 are above 30, single and very available:
M - 36 years old
Boon - 35 years old
Uncle - 34 years old
Choon - 30 years old
T - 30 years old
All married to the job.. not a very healthy sign.. these are people who work OT and over the weekend and creating unnecessary stress for the rest of us.. for instance they work over the weekend on something that is not that urgent becoz "the earlier you finish the better"... I wanted to wait til Monday then do but in the end it seems like I'm not doing work... sian... must do something about it.. introduce girls for them and let them know that life is not just about work.. shall be matchmaker as a sideline.. =P
Pulau Aur Diving Trip UpdateFinally.. My Aur trip update...
My Diving KakisLeft for Aur on 23rd Jun night.. after working til 3am the night before to submit a paper and realise that I have another paper to clear before I depart for Aur.. was super tired by the time I made it to Scuba Corner.. the people in the group are pretty friendly.. sort of put me more at ease after a super uptight day at work.. We travelled to Mersing in a little aircon van... chatted with the other girl in the group Jeanette a little before dozing off.. Highlight of the journey to Mersing was supper time where the group broke the ice (over how Eric can't be an air steward because his BMI cannot pass... courtesy of Shu)... Travelled a little more and reached our "5-stars hotel".. very old and run down...
Next morning we departed for Aur in a little speedboat... we were all sitting at the back and before we knew it water started splashing all over... we were all wet even before we started diving...
After 2 hours plus we finally reached Aur.. a little ulu but peaceful island.. Ken, Shu and I started with pool session under our instructor Shaft while Jeanette, Eric, Glen and Dominic went for their leisure dive.. Oh by the way the "pool" was this 3m X 3m tank... did some basic skills like clearing mask (yucks)... more skills in the afternoon in the shallow sea water... drank some salt water...
Apart from doing all the skills it was quite a nice day.. we practically had the whole resort to ourselves before the othe divers came in the next day.. spent the night chatting away and looking at the photo Jeanette and Eric took.. so nice! Can't wait to dive!
Saturday morning did not start off very well... woke up and the first think I thought of was how I used to wake SK up when I was in Sydney.. spoilt my mood for the day.. and the rest of the divers swarmed in... finally got to know the reality of diving - it makes you get fat.. all the older divers have tummy!! then again, how to stay slim when all you do in a diving trip is sleep, wake up, eat, dive, eat, dive, eat, sleep.. our additional classmate Evelyn joined us..
Did my first 3 dives on that day.. wasn't very good coz had some problem breathing thru the regulator.. it's a very comfortable feeling to have air grushing into your mouth.. plus all the heavy and clumpsy diving gear... and in the third dive I shot up towards the end.. poor buoyancy control.. in the end Shaft had to pull me down as though he's holding a balloon... sigh... but all these were rewarded by the sight of MANY MANY fish swimming ard you.. it's beautiful.. awesome... on the way back saw this really funny scenario.. there was this school of small silver fish swimming near the water surface kenna disturbed by some bird.. then the fish kept "jumping" away (dolphin style) towards the cliff.. we were joking that the fish may just bump into the cliff.. other jokes of the day include Ken's Gucci mask and LV fins.. how Shu is very blind in water..
Sunday was the final day in Aur.. we did another 2 dives.. and it was much better this time.. no more skill to do to start with.. hee... and saw quite a number of things... turtle lah... grouper lah... nemo lah... nudibranch lah... and alot of other unknown marine life.. during our final dive we brought bread down to feed the fish! surrounded by fish!! :)
After 2nd dive we were all rushing to pack up and leave Aur.. had a long 3 hours plus boat ride back to mainland M'sia followed by a few hours in an aircon coach.. slept throughout the journey beside waking up ocassionally to gossip.. finally reached Singapore at 8 plus at night..
Here's the link to Jeanette's photo:
http://www.geocities.com/jeanette_goh//Aur.htmlSo much better than mine taken with the disposable camera.. will scan mine to show you guys one of these days..
Probably going Redang with Uncle and the other colleagues in Sept.. Uncle said no hurry to do my advance since he is an instructor (to be exact, he is "Master Scuba Diver Trainer".. what's he doing in RP?!) and can bring me do deep dive and night dive.. Yay! :)
Btw went to Calfit today.. forgot to check the schedule before I go and assumed that James' still taking over Toni's class... then end up Toni's back... her class is totally boring can?! Can yawn and do step at the same time.. and find her steps abit weird... not smooth one... swear that I'll never go for her class again...
