Surprise surprise.. My director didn't make any noise abt me leaving.. thought he would at least summon me to his room and give me a good lecture.. perhaps my deputy director's resignation kept him busy enough..

Am looking forward to the trip to Sydney.. gonna do some proper planning soon.. hope it'll be fun..

WL had spoken to fatty and they've approved my resignation.. which is good.. looking forward to a fresh start.. however have yet to inform other colleagues.. not sure how they will respond.. hope they are OK with it..

Finally gotten my air tix to Sydney!! Can't wait to go there!! Yay!!

Global Entrepolis @ Singapore - Day 2
Kick off for the HOTSpots events.. a relatively light day for me as I'm not the OIC for the events..

Had the gala dinner at night.. got a terrible time being the bouncer for the VIP tables.. there are juz some irritably shameless ppl who are not VIP yet wanna sit at the VIP tables.. super horrible ppl.. GOH of the event is President Nathan.. Managed to sit down and enjoy the good food after his grand arrival.. but decided to leave early to go back to office and settle some stuff for the next day.. was standing along the corridor waiting for my colleagues when President left.. and he smiled at me and gave the standard president's wave!! should have waved back to him.. haha..

Back to office and to my horror the guy from the event management coy still hadn't send me the emcee script for the next day's event.. called up and scolded him like at midnight.. horrible horrible...

Global Entrepolis @ Singapore - Day 3
Got a shock when I arrived at Suntec at 7 plus in the morning.. the stuff for the launch mechanism for my event was so badly done up.. called up the guy from the event management coy and scolded him some more..

The day started off with SEEDS ceremony.. everything was OK til the product launch hour at the end of the ceremony.. got pushed onto the stage as emcee.. and then laptop not working.. *sweat*

HOTDate later on was even more horrible!! Half the buyers never turn up!! Logistic was in a mess.. started late and had a tough time getting stupid ppl to rotate to other tables in an orderly manner.. apparently they can't understand simple instruction.. arghz..

Then after that was HOTIntern launch.. launch mechanism was done up last minute.. *phew* by the end of the event felt like going to one corner and faint... didn't even have enough energy to go to MM Lee's dialogue...

Global Entrepolis @ Singapore - Day 4
2 more HOTSpots events.. as usual HOTDate was in a mess.. and towards the end CNBC came along to do a shoot.. thank God by then everything was more or less in order..

Rushed off to MTI for a presentation with WL.. after that went to Funan for our very late lunch.. decided to hand in my resignation letter there.. foodcourt is really not the right place to do it but bobian.. coz she's out of office to attend her cousin's wedding the next day.. well after hearing my explanation she was pretty supportive.. *phew*

Global Entrepolis @ Singapore - Last Day
The GES events were over (at least for me).. only had to attend 2 meetings with Chairman.. so it was pretty relaxed.. by 3.30pm the guys from the dept were all gathering at the 14F common area for wine and cheese.. had 2 bottles of read wine and ended up opening the white wine from an ex-colleague's wedding as well.. went Arab Street for dinner followed by KTV.. had a really fun time!!

Went back to VJ for open house with Jac, Ivy, Eunice, Shimin, GZ, YX as year 6s.. had a great time doing mass dances.. also went cheered crazily in the performance theatre for the choir.. the year 1s sound really good! We were also horrified to find that the choir was still selling the CDs recorded by my batch!! After all the madness we settled down for a late lunch in canteen.. had the yummy ham cheese omalette..

Zhongxi joined us afterward at Jac's place.. watched the Princess' Diary and recording of some variety show hosted by 5566 which was extremely funny.. never have a couch potato session like this for a long long time.. also went crazy trying to pose in the 5566 way and take photos.. glad to know that we still can be crazy the way we used to be back in the school days..

Celebrated Yiwen's birthday at Marche.. then went to Carrefour to get some sparkling wine.. was hilariously funny.. at first we tried to put the bottle in the beer fridge to chill it.. then after that we figured it'll take forever to get cold.. Fred actually smuggled out a plastic bag full of ice from the fruit juice counter.. then we couldn't find cups for the wine as well.. then Fred sneakily took some of those sampling cups from the fruit juice promoter while she wasn't watching.. felt super cheapo but was really funny how we managed to get all these things for free..

Global Entrepolis @ Singapore - Day 1

Today is day 1 of GES.. began the work at Suntec with bulk purchasing of mineral water from Carrefour.. bought 8 boxes for our events.. then realise that they are going to charge us $20 for delivery.. end up having Gerald to push the trolley right across Suntec Shopping Mall to the convention centre.. super unglam..

Spent the evening ushering like 1000 ppl for the opening ceremony.. PM Lee was the GOH.. finally get to see him in person like juz 5 metres away!! Thinks that he looks better in person.. very tall and quite well built actually.. charismatic..

Then Murphy's Law came into action.. found out that 90% of the visitors' tags for the HOTSpots events are not out yet.. end up have to stay back and check thru the tags and make sure that the company print out the rest.. stayed til almost midnight.. and almost got lost in Suntec while trying to find my way to the ulu staff exit..

Darn tired.. gotta be in office by 8.30am tmr and gonna run ard like headless chicken til 10pm... sighz...

Long time never blog.. Darn busy...

Never week is going to be a horrible week at Suntec City running ard like headless chicken:
Mon - GES opening ceremony
Tue - 2 events, 1 meeting with Chairman, followed by Gala dinner
Wed - 4 events in a row (madness!!), and probably rushing over for MM Lee's dialogue
Thur - 2 events
Fri - 2 meetings with Chairman, then hand in my resignation letter....

Yup I've decided to tender next week.. so I can go for a holiday next month.. booked a darn cheap tix thru Zuji.. $399 for a return tix to sydney!! only $554 after tax!! hope the airline will confirm my booking soon..

Hmm.. maybe I should tender on Thur instead.. in case they make noise and dun let me go by 17 Nov.. should give them a few days more notice.. can't imagine what will happen.. my bosses will sure scream.. but well, do I really care?? Juz pray hard that they won't sabo me..
