My boss actually wants me to do portfolio management for the seeds companies...so can't escape those NAV and IRR thingie.. blehz...

Passed by MNG today... 4th day of the sale... still darn crowded.. din dare to go in and fight the crowd...

Still quite awake... surprising... shall go read a little...

Went for course today.. reached home b4 7pm!! seldom do I get the chance to reach home this early nowadays..

Been quite happy these 2 days.. had dinner with the gang from VJ Choir last nite.. went Olio Noodles for dinner then coffee/ice-cream at Cafe Cartel.. Had a fun time.. ^^

Also heard from Shu yesterday that she got the job at SIA!! Really happy for her.. and now I know who to look for to be introduced to some handsome pilots huh... Hee hee..

Then was at EDB Learning Centre for my business etiquette & deployment course today.. feel great to be outta the office.. and the course is pretty interesting.. had this trainer from Universal Image Consultants.. learnt abt how to dress/talk/eat/walk/sit blah blah blah.. and was super well fed.. they actually catered for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea... oh man.. feel a little like a pig..

On the way home saw this really good-looking guy on the train.. provided me with some viewing pleasure on my ride home... =P

Kenneth's reported for his internship at EDB today.. his dept is sitting pretty near us on the same level.. in fact he's like 10 metres behind me only.. great to have an old friend ard.. so life at work will be a little less boring..

Then again interns have better life than us SO.. Kenneth knocked off a good 2 hours before me today.. I left at abt 7.35pm, went home for dinner, then continued to work on my call report til 9.45pm... braindead.. XP

Haven't heard from LW and Shu for a long time.. wonder how they are doing... Hmmmm...

Another long day tmr.. shall rest early.. Zzzzz...

Was back in NTU today.. was there coz my boss gotta give a talk to the students under the Technopreneurship and Innovation Programme.. felt very weird.. it is the place that I used to slack ard in t-shirt and jeans and now I'm going back in suit and skirt.. the sense of belonging is long gone..

My boss was the 2nd speaker for the day and we left half way thru while the 3rd speaker was talking.. when we left a couple of the students actually ran after us to exchange business cards.. Darn funny..

Din do much when I'm back in the office.. mainly packing the stuff to shift to our temporary office and look at the beautiful scenary from my room while I still can.. Dunno how am I going to survive in the coming 5 mths in that refugee camp.. sighz..

Today is a SUPER BUSY day...

Think I was at my desk for less than an hour today!! Was at the opening ceremony of CommunicAsia/BroadcastAsia/EnterpriseIT 2004 at Expo the entire morning trying to fish for lobang for EDB and expand my network.. without much success though.. =P Then the entire afternoon was meeting after meeting.. 2pm to 6 plus.. after that was busy chasing after my boss for reporting..

By the time I managed to leave the office it's like 7 plus.. bumped into Kenneth.. and i think my knock off time freaked him out coz he's coming in to intern next week... oops..

Hopefully tmr will be less busy... hopefully...

ps: got my 1st pay check today!! it's the first time my bank acc looks this healthy in a long long while... =P

Went to take a look at the swing floor aka refugee camp area that my dept is shifting to end of the week... it's soooooooo darn cramp!!! To think that I'm gonna be there for the next 5 months.. arghz...

L&T ppl are sharing the same swing floor as my dept.. in fact we r sitting pretty close.. which means that it's very convenient to jio1 kenneth for lunch when he comes in for internship with L&T next week..

Went to see the renovated floors as well.. nice and spacious... at least there's something good to look forwards to at the end of our suffering at the swing floor..

Work's getting busier.. more stuff to do.. more ppl to meet.. and the most jialat thing is running after ur boss for reporting when's he's ALWAYZ outta the office... blehz... I suppose it'll be easier to track him down after we shift to the swing floor coz his room will be next to my desk!!

Tired.. shall go and rest.. *Yawn*

Getting out of office at increasingly later time.. 6.15pm yesterday and almost 7pm today..

Work is getting on fine.. starting to following HS and Elaine to meet clients.. investors and start-up companies.. my namecards are not ready yet so it was super paiseh when ppl give u namecard and expect an exchange.. blehz..

And there are plenty of internal meetings as well.. Ops meeting for my work group is pretty casual.. quite fun actually.. but don't think I can expect that for my divisional ops meeting.. shall wait and see tmr..

Then kena arrow for some reporting 2 weeks later at the mid year review.. busy digging for info.. sighz.. more arrows coming coz I'm holding the biggest portfolio for the moment after re-distribution.. but then again heard that more officers and interns are coming in... thank God.. got ppl to share my work load... whahahaha...

My 1st day at EDB.. Orientation was quite happening in the sense that there are ALOT of ppl.. altogether 5 senior officers (including me and Gerald, which is the guy I met at the interviews and we are going to be in the same department) and more than 10 interns..

Managed to survived thru series of boring briefing.. ppl at my division are rather friendly.. I was allocated this seat at 28F with sea view! can see the Esplande and beyond.. but the sad thing is the entire dept is shifting to another floor so that the board can renovate our level.. so I can only have this seat for a few days before we shift to the temporary level aka the refugee camp at 14F... sighz...

Was issued laptop today.. quite a nice one from Fujitsu.. juz that there's abit of noise from the processor/hard disk which makes me think that it's going to break down very soon.. and then again becoz of all the shifting of the office I can't lock the laptop at my desk.. need to lug it home everyday... blehz..

Went to Jac's place for popiah today.. the usual gang from VJChoir was there.. another of our typical gathering.. eat, drink, watch video, talk crapz.. it was still quite a fun one.. And was super surprised that Jac's mum got me and Eunice a cake to celebrate our graduation!!

Starting work tmr... shall sleep early... ciaoz...

Oh man.. juz reached home from my JC class gathering.. not bad turn out.. and SS brought her Aussie boyfriend along.. a real friendly guy..

Went to IntroBar for a drink of cocktails/mocktails cum chit chat.. nice place.. cosy.. the music isn't fantastic but at least not irritating.. Had a great time there..

Then Fred suggested taking a walk to CHIJMES.. on the way pass by this window at Raffles City where four performers actually stay in the window for days.. and it was so hilariously funny when we tried to communicate with one of those guys in the window with our self-invented sign language.. and apparently the guy was from the hometown of SS's boyfriend!

At CHIJMES we entertained each other with lame jokes and games.. Had a good laugh.. and when everybody cannot tahan anymore our super nice HJ drove us home.. it's been a long long long long time since I last hang out til this late.. the last time was when I was in hostel I think..

Better go and sleep.. gotta go practise guitar in church later in the morning...

Hmmm.. Heard some shocking things abt a long-time friend.. rather disappointed.. Yah I knew that he has changed over the years but I didn't expect him to do such a thing.. Juz pray that God will do a work in his life and change him for the better..

Went shopping with LW in the afternoon.. I think I'm whining so much abt starting work that she's getting abit sian of it..

Yup this is likely to be the last time that I have the luxury to shop on a weekday afternoon.. at least not until a long long time later.. Sighz..

Sleepy.. still going out tonite.. SS is back from Japan b4 she flies back to do her Master degree.. then she's so busy that she can only meet us for a midnight drink.. actually quite tired but think I better give SS some face... and afterall it's likely that I won't see her for another year.. this shall be my last "havoc" nite b4 work starts.. =P

My church's youth conference has juz ended.. 3 days of great preaching and praise and worship.. awesome.. And it was great fun to be serving in the conference choir.. everytime I look at the huge crowd worshipping the Lord with all their hearts I'm reminded of how great God is and how deserving He is of our worship..

Little mishap over the three days.. on the first day my Bible dropped into this tiny slit at the back of the choir platform and there's no way to retrieve it.. I was so so so sad.. then today I borrowed Vincent's Bible to go on stage.. the Bibles were kept in a bundle during P&W and were to be distributed during the preaching.. and then somebody accidentally took the wrong Bible!! I felt sooooo bad... it was like "how could I be such a bad steward of other ppl's belonging?!?!".. after svc went all over the place to look for it but failed.. almost wanted to cry.. Sighz...
